Vince McMahon is often considered the best booker in the history of professional wrestling, as he has achieved more than anyone in this business. He is the biggest reason behind the ultimate success of WWE over each and every other major promotion, including WCW and AWA. Presently, his creation stands stronger than anyone.
The most difficult time period Vince McMahon faced was during the mid and late 90s, when his promotion fought head to head with WCW, which had been a richer company and also had more star power. But his creative brilliance helped WWE triumph over WCW, and today, WCW is non-existent.
Eric Bischoff claimed Vince McMahon never created any ideas
But former WCW boss Eric Bischoff made a shocking claim recently about Vince McMahon that he might have been a genius in the field of booking in professional wrestling, but he could never create any ideas. Speaking on his “83 Weeks” podcast, the former WWE RAW General Manager stated the following;

“I have the utmost respect for the accomplishments of one Vincent K. McMahon. You and I would not be doing this podcast were it not for Vincent K. McMahon. There’s no question in my mind when I say that. However, anybody that thinks that this guy was like the creative genius, Vince was good at picking out other people’s ideas and figuring out what might work.

“Coming up with his own [ideas], I’m not so sure about. I never really saw that. Maybe he was. I just never saw it. I did see him, however, filtering a lot of other people’s ideas and then taking either one or maybe a couple of them and merging them and melding them together, and coming up with his version of some of the things that were being presented to him.”
Eric Bischoff may not be a big fan of the creative side of Vince McMahon, but he has always been acknowledged as a genius in the booking world of professional wrestling. The majority of the wrestling fans still believe that it was McMahon who led WWE to ultimate success. His contributions will never be forgotten.
