John Cena created history last Monday on RAW when he made his final appearance in Boston, his hometown. He challenged Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and won the title for the first time in his career. By winning this title, he also became a Grand Slam Champion, the only thing that he had yet to achieve in his illustrious professional wrestling career.

John Cena already has an amazing retirement tour, as he won the WWE World Championship at WrestleMania 41, and it was his 17th world Championship win. He said the record of the highest number of world title wins in WWE was broken by breaking the previous record set by the Nature Boy Ric Flair. He even worked as a heel for the first time in over 21 years.

WrestleMania 42 Triple H

Vince Russo criticized Triple H for the way he introduced John Cena on RAW

Last Monday on RAW, he appeared in his hometown of Boston for the last time. Triple H introduced him in front of the home crowd by announcing him as the greatest WWE star of all time. Triple H even cut a short promo in his homage. But wrestling legend Vince Russo is not satisfied with the introduction by Triple H. Discussing it on his YouTube channel with Stevie Richards, he said the following;

John Cena made his final appearance in Boston last Monday

“This is the last match in freaking Boston. He was all about Boston his whole career. If this is Vince — Stevie, you know we’re going to have sports figures there, we’re going to have Big Papi there. Hell, bro, Vince is going to try to get Tom Brady there. This is going to be a celebration. Okay, bro, they don’t do any of that. Like, Ari and TKO don’t have the connections to pull in any freaking celebrity they want? They do none of that.”

John Cena IC Champion

He even became the WWE Grand Slam champion on RAW last Monday

“But Stevie, this is an emotional moment. How do you not have his father introduce him? That was the whole story in Boston. They showed Newcastle — wherever the hell it was — that’s the emotion, man. His dad does the intro. Stevie, seriously, if this is not all done by design, these people are freaking brain-dead, bro.” said Vince Russo about Triple H's introductory speech about John Cena.

John Cena has three more appearances left in his WWE contract, one of them is scheduled at Survivor Series, where he is rumoured to drop the WWE Intercontinental Championship back to Dominik Mysterio, and he will have his final match at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event. A 16 man tournament is going on to determine his final opponent. Cena will always be remembered as the G.O.A.T. of professional wrestling.
