WWE and TNA Wrestling signed multi year partnership deal at the start of 2025, and so far, the deal is going really good. WWE is mostly treating TNA wrestling equivalent of the NXT, which is the developmental territory of the promotion. Each and every week, there are cross brand appearances in both shows, which is really exciting.
Nowadays, the fans are also witnessing cross brand Championship wins. The first wrestler to achieve such success is Trick Williams. He defeated Joe Hendry at the NXT Battleground event last May to win the TNA World Championship. The 31 year old American Professional wrestler is still holding the Championship quite strongly.

There are other cross brand Championship wins that can be seen too, as at the NXT vs. TNA Showdown event last Monday, legendary Tag Team The Hardy Boyz defeated The DarkState to win the NXT Tag Team championships, but they are presently under contract with TNA Wrestling.

Trick Williams is still holding the TNA World Championship, but former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, who is presently under contract with TNA wrestling, is not happy with this title win. During his recent appearance on TMZ’s “Inside The Ring” podcast, explain the following about Trick Williams winning the TNA World Championship;
“I’ve been pissed off since Joe Hendry thought he would just make the rounds and go everywhere and have fun exhibitions as the TNA champion. And then lost the title to an NXT talent who doesn’t even belong in our locker room. So that part got me fired up.”

“If Santana can’t come through here, me and Ryan might have to take a little break as a tag team, and then I step in and take that title back, just for TNA, just so we have it. There’s something really disgusting about it. We really need to have a locker room leader who is the champion and full time at TNA. I’m very serious when I say how pissed off I am about this.”
“It might also be interesting if one of our guys wins an NXT title or WWE title. If you’re looking at the balance of the world, that’s bound to happen sometime soon.” said Dolph Ziggler, who is presently under contract with TNA Wrestling under the ring name Nick Nemeth, which is also his real name.
