The Undertaker and Triple H had been two of the biggest names in wrestling during their time, and they also had some excellent rivalries throughout the years. Triple H also has the record to face the Undertaker and WrestleMania 3 times in total. WrestleMania dates back to 2001. They also had two gruesome matches at WrestleMania 27 and 28.

WrestleMania 27 is often considered one of the worst WrestleMania events in the history of WWE, but one of the biggest saving points of this event was the No Holds Barred match between The Dead Man and The King of Kings. Not only was it a great match, but it also saved the reputation of this whole show, as it featured some of the worst matches in the history of WrestleMania.

But what list of the fans do not remember is the Undertaker getting legitimately injured during this match when he got busted open while being in a volatile situation in this match. Triple H, his opponent in this match, recently remembered the incident while being interviewed by Complex. Here is what he has to say;

The Undertaker was legitimately injured during this match

“Ironically, the only time I ever injured anybody with the hammer was with Taker and they we were going to — I believe it was WrestleMania. He was going to put me up for Last Ride, and I was going to grab the hammer on the way up. But we were so afraid that, could I get all the way up there and still use it.

Triple H came out victorious in this match

“So, we used a gimmick sledgehammer that had like a foam head. Because it was much lighter. And when I went up top and hit him in the head with it, I held on to the foam part to protect him. And this handle went all the way through the foam part and cut him from like here to here. I hit him, I had no idea, he went down. When I came up, he was bleeding. I was like, ‘Holy — what happened?’ You know, he was just covered.”

Triple H and Undertaker returned for another match at WrestleMania 28, and this time it was inside Hell in a Cell. Shawn Michaels was the special guest referee in this matc,h and it was even more brutal. But much like their previous two encounters, Taker had been victorious once again. Their last ever match dates back to Super Showdown 2018, where The Cerebral Assassin was victorious.
