The Attitude Era is often considered the best time period in professional wrestling history. The fans who have witnessed it never want to accept that anytime in WWE history could have done it better than the Attitude Era. It is also said that this time period saved WWE, as the promotion was struggling at that time.
The star studded roster of that time, huge rivalries like Steve Austin vs The Rock, Steve Austin vs Vince McMahon, the Undertaker vs Kane, and many other rivalries made the time really special. It is nearly impossible to ever touch the popularity of the Attitude Era. No doubt it was a very special time.

The Miz claims that the present WWE is better than Attitude Era
The Miz, who grew up watching the Attitude Era, made a bold claim recently that the modern day WWE has overshadowed the greatness of the Attitude Era. While being interviewed by “The Schmo” recently, the former two times WWE World Champion, The Miz, said the following in support of his claim;
The Miz grew up watching the Attitude Era
“Last year was a record-breaking year. It’s the biggest WrestleMania we’ve ever had. I’ll say this time and time again, there was an Attitude Era. This is bigger than the Attitude Era. The storylines are bigger than they’ve ever been. The stars, our roster is deeper than it’s ever been, whether you’re cheering someone or booing someone.”

The Attitude Era lasted from 1997 to 2001
“WWE always finds a way to do better the next year. As best as you could possibly do, which I think we did amazingly last year here at Allegiant Stadium, it’s going to be nothing compared to what happens at WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium.”
The Miz's claim may not be backed by the majority of the wrestling fans, but one thing that everyone will agree on is that the women's division of WWE is much better presently than The Attitude Era. Back then, women were only objects, and they did not really have anything special to do. But nowadays, women are treated equally to men. So they are definitely doing it better by this standard.
