Stephanie Vaquer created history at the previous WWE premium live event Wrestlepalooza where she defeated Iyo Sky to win the Women's World Championship. The previous Champion Naomi, had to relinquish the title because of her maternity, and WWE had to crown a new champion.
But WWE disappointed the fans by booking just a normal one on one match to crown the new champion. The majority of the fans wanted to see a tournament, or at least, a Battle Royal. Just a simple one on one match, where the participants were also randomly chosen, showed the lack of ideas of the present WWE creative team.
What sickness did Stephanie Vaquer suffer before Wrestlepalooza?
Stephanie Vaquer defeated Iyo Sky at Wrestlepalooza to win her first major Championship in WWE in the form of the Women's World Championship. It was also her first Championship in the main roster. But reports also suggested that she suffered some kind of sickness before the event. Recently, she confirmed it while speaking on ESPN’s “Ahora o Nunca” podcast. She also talked about the match;

“It was the best [match] of my career so far, and the result of the match was the dream of my life. I’m proud because it wasn’t just a match for the most important championship, it was against one of the best in the world, Iyo Sky, someone I’ve admired for many years. So, the fact that I could compete for this title with her proved in the ring why we are both among the best in the world right now.”

Here is what she said about her sickness, “I was sick for three weeks before my match, but really sick. I had a bacteria in my throat. Something really weird. I couldn’t eat or drink anything for three days. I felt so weak, so bad, but all the WWE medical team helped me and supported me a lot.”
Iyo Sky instantly moved to a new storyline with the Kabuki Warriors after losing the opportunity to win the Championship. Presently, Stephanie Vaquer is having a rivalry with Tiffany Stratton for the Crown Jewel Championship, and the match will take place at the Crown Jewel event. Surely, someone will step up to challenge for the title after the event.
