Sonya Deville introduced herself to the WWE audience through the WWE Tough Enough competition in 2015, and in the same year, she got the opportunity to sign a professional contract with the promotion. Upon signing the contract, she started working in the NXT, which is the developmental territory of WWE.

She spent a couple of years in the NXT before making her main roster debut, and after joining the main roster, she became a part of a faction named Fire and Desire, along with Paige being the leader of the faction, and also with Mandy Rose. She remained a part of it for a number of years before starting a rivalry with Mandy Rose. After her defeat in this feud, she became an on screen official.

Sonya Deville remembers the debut of Ronda Rousey

In 2022, Sonya Deville started working in the ring once again, and once again, she was quite impressive in the ring. One of the biggest career highlights of her WWE career came in 2023 when she teamed up with Chelsea Green to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. It was her first and only major title win in the world of professional wrestling.

Sonya Deville remained under contract with WWE for 10 years

But unfortunately, she could not enjoy her title reign for long, as she suffered a torn ACL injury, which kept her out of action for nearly a year. Ultimately, in July 2025, she was released from her WWE contract. Soon after her release, she announced her retirement from professional wrestling. Recently, she spoke with "Identity Crisis" where she revealed how Ronda Rousey's debut helped her a lot. She said;

She was released from WWE earlier this year

"I don't think they knew what to do with me, because I wasn't the Chyna, the Rhea Ripley. That's understandable as well; that's easy to digest," explained Sonya Deville, regarding how she was helped by the debut of Ronda Rousey. "I'm not the biggest or the strongest, but I'm not a girly girl; I'm not the sex. Where do I fit?"

"She's Ronda f**king Rousey! So, I'm like: 'Okay, well, let's zip this up and throw it away and let's try something else!'" she added. "And so then, I started leaning more into my femininity and ... just kind of organically changing my look and finding a character. And it all happened in the Mandy [Rose] storyline during the pandemic." Said the retired professional wrestler.
