Recently WWE released on number of their talents due to their budget cut issues. One of the talents that had been shown the door is the former NXT women's Tag Team Champion Shotzi. She remained a part of WWE since 2019, and she had been a fan favourite as long as she was active.
One of the biggest issues she had to deal with during her later WWE career was injuries, and in the latest releases of WWE, they only made sure to get rid of the injury prone wrestlers. They even released big names like Braun Strowman and Dakota Kai.

Shotzi wants to make a return to WWE
Shotzi had to suffer because she had been quite injury prone in her later WWE career. She was not receiving regular bookings during her latter days either. Recently, she appeared on "The Ariel Helwani Show" where she explained her desire to return to WWE one day. She said;
Shotzi is a former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion
"I mean, I would love to be back at WWE. I loved working there. I didn’t love not working there, you know what I’m saying? It was only when I wasn’t being used that I was unhappy but, any time I was being used, good time. Loved the locker room, loved everyone I was working for. So, yeah, that’s just it. I just don’t wanna go back and not work."
She also discussed whether she wants to work full time in any wrestling company, "Well, yeah, yeah. I love TNA, I love AEW… AEW [is my preference]. I mean, for so many reasons. I love their freedom, I have a lot of friends there who are doing really awesome things.

Shotzi is presently active on the independent circuit
"I’ve heard many stories of how Tony [Khan] treats talent [so well]. So, yeah, I do love that he really cares for his talent. That is super important to me… and hot girls get to make out with each other so like that’s cool too [laughs]."

Shotzi returned to the independent circuit earlier this month, and she has already competed in a number of independent rings. As she had been quite impressive throughout her WWE career, we can definitely expect her to get approached by any major wrestling promotion like TNA Wrestling or AEW soon.
