Kurt Angle thinks Shawn Michaels is the best wrestler ever
Professional wrestling legend Kurt Angle, who himself had been a huge name in the technical wrestling world, also considers Shawn Michaels the best technical wrestler ever. He also talked about his love for the technical wrestlers. Speaking on Sports Illustrated’s “The Pin Down with Kent Brown” Podcast, the Olympic Gold Medalist said the following about The Heart Break Kid;
Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels produced a couple of five star matches in WWE
“Oh, I love technical wrestlers. Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, the technical wrestlers. Undertaker was a great technical wrestler. Stone Cold Steve Austin. There were a lot of great ones. Now, The Rock could be technical, but he was more of an action-packed kind of guy, and I love working with him, because his pace was unbelievable, and that’s what I liked was a high-paced match. But no, I like technical-style matches the most. I have to say my best matches were with Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero.”

Michaels is presently retired from in ring action
“Overall, I consider Shawn to be the greatest in the sport. If you’re talking looks, promo skills, and wrestling ability, everything wrapped into one, that guy is perhaps the best of all time.” Said the former six times World Champion in WWE, who is presently retired from in ring action.
During the second run of Shawn Michaels that started in 2002, he mostly focused on promoting younger talents. But he kept on producing five star matches. His match with Kurt Angle from WrestleMania 21 is considered one of the best matches in WrestleMania history. Presently, he works as the creative in charge of NXT.
