He was supposed to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42, according to reports. But it does not look like this match is happening anymore.
Seth Rollins was having a wonderful time in 2025, and he started things off by pinning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41 in a triple threat match also including CM Punk. In the following month, he won the Money in the Bank Ladder match and ultimately, ended up winning the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

But it was quite unfortunate that he suffered a shoulder injury at the Crown Jewel event, which is now going to keep him out of action for quite a long time. Recently, he talked about featuring in the WWE documentary series Unreal, and explained why he did not like it. Speaking on Ross Tucker’s podcast, he revealed the following;

“Well you know, Unreal is interesting. Because it’s like, it’s actually — I say this in a very kind way. It’s actually more of a hassle, right? Because it’s an extra crew of people following you around, like kind of dissecting everything you’re doing. So you’re on all the time in times when you’re not thinking about being on. So, it’s a bit of an extra step for us.”

“I hope the end result is good, and I hope it helps kind of portray our family dynamic, in a business that’s not really known for family dynamics, in a positive light. And creates sort of — I guess sort of a an inspiration for people to know that you can do this thing, and you can wrestle and have a family. And it can all work together. And there’s sort of a beauty in it, and it doesn’t have to be one or the other. It doesn’t have to be this or that.” said Seth Rollins.
WWE Unreal series is a documentary where Netflix showed the backstage planning behind the recent bookings of WWE, including the Royal Rumble, where Michael Hayes was shown as the mastermind behind Jey Uso winning the men's Royal Rumble match. A large number of fans are not happy with this web series since they fear it is killing kayfabe completely. But overall, it had been a critically acclaimed show.
