Seth Rollins has been treated as a top star of WWE ever since he joined the promotion. He had a great background in Ring of Honour before joining WWE, and instantly after joining the NXT, which is the developmental territory of WWE, he became the inaugural NXT champion. He was quite successful in the NXT.
Seth Rollins made his main roster debut in November 2012 at the Survivor Series event as a part of the faction Shield. In 2014, he started working solo, and he was also the first wrestler to win the WWE world championship among all three wrestlers of the Shield. He pinned Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 31 to win the title.

Seth Rollins remembers almost getting fired during his developmental days

It is quite unfortunate that he is presently out of action with a shoulder injury, and he is likely to miss out on WrestleMania 42 too. He may be one of the biggest stars of WWE right now, but during his development days, he was nearly fired by Triple H. He remembered the incident while speaking with actor Jay Mohr, and revealed the following;

He is a six times WWE World Champion
"I was on the chopping block. They [Triple H] told me, 'Yeah, one more. One more and you're gone. One more. I don't care how good you are. You're not going to get a chance to show the world. We will fire you.' I had that conversation with Triple H. I was sitting in Full Sail University.
"I remember sitting in the back, and he [Triple H] was like, 'Hey, I don't care how good you are. You're being difficult with this guy. This guy thinks you're difficult.' I butted heads quite a bit when I got down to Florida. And, you know, Triple H didn't appreciate it, and my attitude wasn't appreciated, and it was like, if one more negative report comes back, we will fire you." Said Seth Rollins.
