The Last Time is Now tournament is currently underway in WWE, with 4 of the first-round matches already taking place. Rusev and Sheamus advanced to the quarter finals on RAW last Monday, and on SmackDown this Friday, Jey Uso and LA Knight advanced after winning their respective matches.

Another wrestler who could have participated in this tournament is Seth Rollins, but he is presently out of action with a shoulder injury, and it does not look like he will be able to come back anytime soon. He was having an excellent year after he pinned Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41 and was also carrying the World Heavyweight Championship.

But the shoulder injury he suffered as Crown Jewel turned out to be fatal, and she was also forced to vacate the title. Recently, he talked about the retirement tour of John Cena and also the Last Time is Now tournament. He shared his love and respect for Cena while replying to a recent fan Q&A. Here is what he had to say;

John Cena became a WWE Grand Slam Champion on RAW last Monday

“John Cena is on his retirement run right now. Recently just won the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career this past Monday on RAW, beating ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio. He’s a Grand Slam Champion. He’s got two appearances left in his WWE career, Madison Square Garden coming up, and then Washington D.C., for Saturday Night’s Main Event in his final match.

"John is a great friend. He is one of the greatest to ever do it. You can stack him against The Rock, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan — any of the Mount Rushmores, John Cena is on them. He’s a great human being. He’s been a mentor to me… John, hats off to you. A great career, a better friend, better performer. You’re the best, dude. I love you…”

Seth Rollins would have been an excellent fit in the retirement tour of John Cena, but it is quite unfortunate that we cannot be able to see him as a part of it anymore. But Cena and Seth Rollins had multiple matches in the past as they have battled in Big events like TLC 2014 and SummerSlam 2015. We can at least expect Rollins to return before WrestleMania 42.
