Seth Rollins wrestling career
Seth Rollins made his professional wrestling heavy back in 2004 as he started working on the independent circuit. He achieved multiple successes on the independent circuit before finally getting a big call in 2007 from Ring of Honor. He had been a top star of the Ring of Honor wrestling promotion, as he won multiple championships from the promotion, including the ROH World Championship once.
He spent a couple of years in the Ring of Honor, and in 2010, he got the biggest call of his career as he got to sign a professional contract with WWE. He started working on the developmental territories of the promotion as he worked in both Florida Championship Wrestling and NXT. He is recognised as the first ever NXT Champion.
Rollins made his main roster debut in November 2012 as a part of the famous WWE faction The Shield, along with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. All three of these wrestlers went on to become the top stars of the promotions in the near future, and it was Seth Rollins among the three who won the WWE World Championship before the other two.
After the split of The Shield, Rollins has always been portrayed as a main event star, and he is still a top star of the promotion. In the last decade, he won almost all the possible championships in WWE, including a total of 6 World Championship titles. He has always stayed in the main event status.
Roman Reigns has always been one of his biggest rivals, and surprisingly, the Head of the Table has never been able to beat him. He even featured on multiple WrestleMania main events, like the last WrestleMania, which was WrestleMania XL, where he had a triple threat match against CM Punk and Roman Reigns on night 1.
After WWE introduced the new World Heavyweight Championship in 2023, Rollins remained the face of this new Championship. He had been the inaugural champion, and he even defended the title at WrestleMania XL, where he dropped the Championship to Drew McIntyre.
Seth Rollins won the Championship back at SummerSlam 2025 after he cashed in his contract over CM Punk, and as of September 2025, he is still holding the Championship. He is presently having a rivalry with CM Punk over the Championship, and he is also heavily rumored to defend the Championship at WrestleMania 42.
