Sami Zayn is often considered one of the best mid card wrestlers in WWE history. He has been working in the promotion for the last 12 years, including his two NXT years, and no doubt, he is one of the most famous stars of the promotion. This past week on SmackDown, he was scheduled to face Solo Sikoa for the WWE United States Championship, and the match took place on the main event of the show. Sami was a legitimate Contender to begin with, and a lot of fans expected him to win the title.

Finally, the Canadian professional wrestler made history last SmackDown when he defeated Solo Sikoa to win the WWE United States Championship. He hit a double Helluva Kick to stun Sikoa and pin him. Sami's real life best friend recently wrote on Twitter regarding his best friend's amazing milestone. He wrote,

Sami Zayn had to wait for five long years before getting his hands on the first main roster Championship, which was the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He pinned Braun Strowman in a three on one handicap match also involving Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro at the Elimination Chamber event. Since his first iconic win, he has never stopped.
