Rusev is presently active on Monday Night RAW, and he recently made his return to the promotion after working in AEW for the last five years. The Bulgarian Brute had been one of the biggest prospects of WWE when he started working in the promotion, and he had been promoted as one of the upcoming top stars as soon as he made his debut in 2014.

He spent the rest of the six years in WWE, and he won the WWE United States Championship three times in total. But he had been a victim of the covid-19 pandemic as he was released from the promotion in 2020. He joined AEW after leaving WWE and remained under contract with the promotion for the next five years.

What Rusev learned from the Big Show

Rusev recently made his return to WWE and is working regularly on Monday Night RAW. He is being treated mid card in the promotion presently, as he is regularly feuding for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Recently, he revealed that The Big Show helped him a lot, and he learned so much from the wrestling legend. Speaking with Shakiel Mahjouri for “SHAK Wrestling,” he explained the following;

Rusev recently returned to WWE and is active on RAW

“I kind of give that as an example of Big Show. Big Show said, ‘If you show up to work every day, like it’s your first day at work, you know, how do you show up first day at work? You always dress nice, you’re always being polite, you’re always respectful, you’re always on time, you’re always courteous.

"If you approached every day like this, then you’re going to have a long and successful career in the WWE. But once you start cutting corners, once you start thinking you’re better than that, or you can do the load management, which is a new word that I kind of associate with NBA, which is kind of taking it easy type of deal, then it’s just not going to — this is not for you.’”

Rusev got the opportunity to work with the Big Show both in WWE and in AEW, as both of them went to AEW at a similar time, and before joining AEW, they also worked in WWE as long as the Bulgarian Brute remained active in the main roster of the promotion. The Big Show is still active in All Elite Wrestling.
