Roman Reigns is still one of the biggest attractions of WWE despite working as a part timer for nearly 4 years, and the majority of the wrestling fans are desperately waiting to see who he would challenge at the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 42 event, which is going to be the biggest event of the next year.

Last year at WrestleMania 41, the wrestling fans saw Roman Reigns having a triple threat match against Seth Rollins and CM Punk. Paul Heyman shocked the entire world by siding with Rollins in this match and guiding him to pick up the huge victory. Rollins ended up pinning Reigns to snatch the huge victory in this iconic triple threat match.

Who will Roman Reigns face at WrestleMania 42?

Everybody expected that Reigns would go on to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42 in a one on one match, and it could have also been a World Heavyweight Championship match. But unfortunately, Seth Rollins suffered a major injury at Crown Jewel, and he may not be able to compete at Mania 42. The biggest plan for the upcoming big event is now completely scrapped.

Roman Reigns was rumoured to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42 previously

But if Seth Rollins cannot be ready in time, who is going to be the opponent of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42? Famous wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer recently talked about this situation and revealed who could probably face the OTC at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer reported the following;

Seth Rollins is presently out of action with a shoulder injury

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported, “It was gonna be Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. And Seth Rollins did say that he’s hoping to get back for WrestleMania. I was given the impression that the WrestleMania main event — that there will be on Saturday, there will be teases that will help you figure out who the WrestleMania main event will be. Certainly on Monday.”

“The tease on Monday was absolutely a tease for the main event, which would lead you to believe it’s Roman Reigns challenging either Cody Rhodes or Punk — in which case, because Cody Rhodes has been done twice before, I would favor them going with Punk. I think on Saturday, we will probably have a better idea, although I’m gonna guess they’ll shoot a tease with both of them just to keep that question going.” said Dave Meltzer.
