Much like a lot of fans and wrestling legends, Rob Van Dam had also been quite critical about the present product of WWE. Since the retirement of Vince McMahon and Triple H's takeover of WWE, the product of the promotion has changed completely, and it looks like a completely different product from what Vince McMahon used to produce.

Despite making some positive changes, the present product of WWE, led by Triple H, had to face a lot of criticism for many things. One of the biggest criticisms remained his inconsistent performance in leading any storyline. Not being able to make new stars has also been a big matter of criticism.

Rob Van Dam criticizes the present product of WWE

A lot of wrestling critics and even former professional wrestlers had been critical of the present product of WWE led by Triple H. One of the recent wrestling legends to criticize the product of Triple H had been former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam. Despite being critical of the product, Rob Van Dam also expressed his desire to work in the modern day WWE. Speaking on the “Inside The Ring” podcast, he said;

Rob Van Dam is a former WWE World Champion

“And here’s one thing, too — I feel like the fans who grew up watching my era thought they knew how it worked in a certain way, and now they’re the ones running it. So, they’ve changed it to how they think it was run. And now we’ve got the next fans, who have been watching them, coming up and getting ready to run things. It’s changing so much into something that feels far away from the competitive side, and maybe that’s for the best. Maybe they’re fixing things about the business.

"But for me personally, I feel like sometimes I could go, feel great, and show people that I can still do what I used to do. Hopefully, it’ll motivate or inspire some people, maybe. And then at other times, I feel like maybe I’d rather just be attached to old-school wrestling and remembered for that.” said Rob Van Dam

Triple H became in charge of WWE creative back in 2022, and during his early days, he did really well. Some of the segments, including the Bloodline Rama from Royal Rumble 2023, still remain the best segments of recent years in wrestling. But slowly the product started to decline. Hopefully things will improve soon.
