The WWE fans first witnessed Rhea Ripley in 2017 when she got the opportunity to compete in the first ever Mae Young Classic tournament. Her performance was not very impressive as she could only reach the round of 16, where she was eliminated by Kiwi professional wrestler Dakota Kai.

But soon, she earned a WWE contract, and she started working in the newly opened developmental territory of WWE, which was the NXT UK. After having a successful run in the developmental territory of WWE, she transitioned to the main roster for the first time in 2021. She won the WWE Women's championship at WrestleMania 37, shortly after joining the main roster.

“This is my WWE tryout in Melbourne, Australia. I am currently wrestling Kellyanne. Man, I look like a baby. I got my bra sticking out of my top, that’s how bad my gear was at the time. I bought those Asami kickpads in Japan. When I went there at 17 years old for three months to live in a dojo and train and do shows, I don’t think I was really going for a specific look.
