Other wrestlers like Edge and Daniel Bryan were forced to take in ring retirement due to career threatening injury, but they also managed to return to the ring.

Another retired star who is training to make his in ring return is the Tag Team legend D Von Dudley, who had an amazing professional wrestling career. He has worked in major wrestling promotions like WWE, ECW, and TNA Wrestling. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the WWE Hall of Famer recently discussed losing 80 pounds of weight, and also planning to make a sensational in ring return;

D Von Dudley is considered a tag team legend

I would say about 80 something pounds. Yeah, I was almost 300 pounds. […] So you think it’s healthy to eat [the food that is readily available in the market nowadays], and it’s not. I cut out so much stuff, wheat, dairy products, fried foods. I don’t eat it no more, and I don’t go out to fast food restaurants anymore, because the meat is not real meat.

"So everything has to be organic or grass-fed. And I enjoy it. It’s hard, because not everywhere is going to have that. So sometimes you do have to sacrifice and get a burger with nothing on it. Even though you know that meat’s not good, you still got to do something.” concluded the WWE Hall of Famer.

In 2002, WWE tried to push D Von as a singles wrestler for the first time. He was renamed as Reverend D Von Turing this singles run. But it was a massive failure, and WWE never tried to push him as a single wrestler ever again. Upon his latest return, this might be his opportunity to finally achieve something as a singles wrestler.
