Peyton Royce was active in WWE during the early days of the second brand split of the promotion, and her Tag Team withBilly Kay became quite famous among the fans. The women's Tag Team division of WWE always faced a lot of criticism for not featuring proper Tag Teams. The team of Royce and Kay was quite brilliant, and they were excellent for the division.

Together they were known as The IIconics in WWE, and they had also been a former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. But after they started having singles run, they did not work very well, and ultimately, both of them ended up getting released from the promotion in 2021. Soon after getting released from WWE, they were hired by TNA Wrestling.

Peyton Royce reveals which promotion offers more creative freedom

Peyton Royce and Billy Kay played the same Tag Team character in TNA Wrestling but this time they were addressed as the IInspiration. Royce recently appeared on TMZ Sports’ “Inside the Ring” podcast where she was asked which promotion allowed more creative freedom. Royce responded by saying the following;

Peyton Royce and Billy Kay were famous as a tag team in WWE

“Definitely, and I think that’s one of the reasons why we have so much fun at TNA, they just trust us. When we are able to cut a promo, or if we are doing a backstage segment, they just trust that we know ourselves well enough to deliver the message in a way that we truly would.

"Having that freedom to banter with each other and just be us, we know that’s where our money is so it was somewhat of a battle at WWE when we were still there where, like, one little word would have to be approved and that would take an hour to get approval and it’s like, do you go wait outside of an office for six hours to see if you can get this line changed because it doesn’t really fit us?

She continued; "So that has been really nice with TNA. They trust us, and I know WWE would, too; it’s just they are a different beast… But yeah, we have loved every part of the creative aspect of TNA.” said the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion.
