Roman Reigns had been projected as the face of WWE ever since he made his main roster debut, and Vince McMahon always had big plans for him. However, the WWE fans initially declined to accept him, despite Vince McMahon's persistent efforts. However, nothing was working; instead, fans began to hate more and more.
Thankfully, things started to change for him after he teamed up with Paul Heyman and started playing the Tribal Chief persona. He turned heel for the first time after becoming the face of WWE, and this time, the fans accepted him. He also went on to become one of the biggest stars in the history of WWE.

Paul Heyman discusses his relationship with Roman Reigns
No one can deny the contributions of Paul Heyman to the ultimate success of Roman Reigns. This legendary duo kept on working together for quite a long time, and this partnership had been quite successful. Paul Heyman recently talked about their success story and why Reigns always trusted him. Speaking on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast, he said the following;
Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns had been working as a team since 2020
“What made the Tribal Chief so different is that at very strategic times, we presented layers. And every time you thought you understood the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, we showed you something different. That’s what made that character so breathtaking to watch develop in front of your very eyes. It’s like a child star that grows up in front of you. And as much of a grown man as Joe Anoaʻi, Roman Reigns obviously was, he grew up as the Tribal Chief in front of the audience.”
“There were things that he entrusted me with that I don’t think any other person on the face of the planet knows about him. And we whether it was a promo in front of an audience or whether it was one of the things backstage on the couch — and he’s searching for that layer that he wants to present.

Paul Heyman betrayed Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41
"I’ll just pull him aside and say ‘this.’ He’ll just look and go, ‘Got it,’ and that’s it. It’s tapped into it, and you have to trust me to keep that between us and never repeat it under any circumstances, even on my deathbed. That goes to the grave with me."
Paul Heyman betrayed Reigns at WrestleMania 41 and sided with Seth Rollins for the first time. This collaboration was going really well, and Reigns was also reportedly facing Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42. But unfortunately, this match is not happening anymore since Rollins has suffered a major injury, which is going to keep him out of action for a long time. He may even miss out on WrestleMania 42.
