Seth Rollins was having an excellent run as the World Heavyweight Champion before getting stripped of the title due to the shoulder injury he suffered at the Crown Jewel event while having a match with Cody Rhodes for the Crown Jewel Championship. He won the Championship at Summerslam after he cashed in the Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk.
Seth Rollins was originally supposed to have a long World Heavyweight Championship run if he did not get injured, and he was even rumored to defend the title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42. 2025 was supposed to be the year of the Visionary. But the unfortunate injury is now going to keep it out of action for a number of months.

Seth Rollins was supposed to defend the Championship against CM Punk if he was not injured
WWE decided to crown a new World Heavyweight Champion at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event on November 1. CM Punk is said to have earned the right to fight for the Championship, so he got a direct bye. The Other wrestler was decided by a 16 man battle Royal on Monday Night RAW this week.
This match was originally planned for Saturday Night's Main Event
Jey Uso won this Battle Royal, and he will challenge CM Punk at Saturday Night's Main Event, and the winner of this match will be crowned as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. But what were the original plans about the title if Seth Rollins still remained champion? Dave Meltzer recently reported the following on Wrestling Observer Radio;

Seth Rollins will now be out of action for a number of months due to a shoulder injury he suffered at Crown Jewel
"Punk wasn't originally winning the title. The thing that's so interesting about this is the guy who everyone probably would've figured at the start of the show was winning this Battle Royal is Bron Breakker. No timeline on Rollins, there will be soon enough." Dave Meltzer reported regarding the scrapped plans for the title.
Seth Rollins is reported to be out of action for a long time, but it is also reported that he will be back in action before WrestleMania 42, so we can expect him to fight for the title as soon as he returns to action. We make it to see the dream match between him and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42, which has all the potential to be for the World Heavyweight Championship.
