At the Saturday Night's Main Event, WWE organised a dream match between the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and the current NXT Champion Oba Femi. It was no Championship match but a champion vs champion match, and this had been a match that a large number of fans desperately wanted to see.
The match was going really well, but at the end of the match, Drew McIntyre attacked Cody Rhodes and started beating him down, which led the match to a double disqualification. The helpless Cody Rhodes was getting beaten down by The Scottish Psychopath as Oba Femi came out for the rescue.
Oba Femi talks about attacking Drew McIntyre
He attacked Drew McIntyre to save the Undisputed WWE Champion from the vicious attack. It made a future rivalry between Femi and Drew McIntyre quite clear. On the “Saturday Night’s Main Event Recap” podcast, he talked about attacking McIntyre. Here is what he had to say;

“It is nothing personal between me and Drew right now. But he definitely robbed the fans. He robbed me of my moment too. And me shoving him was me sending a message. Because I’ve said the future is here. And that message is not just applicable to Cody Rhodes. It’s for every single 40-year-old veteran on this roster. The future is here. The future is now, and the now is me.”
McIntyre attacked Cody Rhodes at the end of this match
“He said, ‘We’re going to make magic.’ And I agree. Because you know, it doesn’t get more complete than Oba Femi. Everything you need — the strength, the size, give him a mic. Magic. We will make magic.” said the present WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi, who faced Cody Rhodes at SNME.
Drew McIntyre is presently involved in a rivalry with Cody Rhodes over the Undisputed WWE Championship. He lost back to back matches to the American Nightmare, but it looks like he still has another opportunity left to challenge for the title. The next venue of their final fight has not been determined yet, but it looks like the match is going to take place at the Royal Rumble.
