Nikki Bella is presently active in WWE regular basis and she is even working on a world title feud with the current champion Stephanie Vaquer. She has started working regularly in the ring from earlier this year as she made her return to action during the women's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble event of 2025, and she even survived until the final four.

But at a point, it never looked like she would ever be able to return to action. In 2019, a cyst was found in her brain, and she was forced to retire from in ring action. She was only 35 at the time of her retirement and felt like her career was cut short due to this health issue. Fortunately, she had been able to return to action, but it took her nearly 6 years.
