Nikki Bella made a sensational in ring return after 3 years recently, and she is working on a full time basis after a long time. She had to take retirement from Action in 2019 after she suffered from health issues. When she was medically cleared to return, she appeared in the women's Royal Rumble match of 2022.
She also appeared in the women's Royal Rumble match of 2025, and in July, she announced a full time in ring return. Soon after her return, she challenged Becky Lynch for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship. The title match took place in Clash in Paris, but Nikki Bella's performance was really not up to the mark, and fans had been critical about her ever since.

Nikki Bella wants to turn heel
Last Monday on RAW, she had a match against Asuka, which she lost, and once again she received negative reactions from the fans. On a recent edition of “The Nikki & Brie Show,” Nikki expressed her desire to turn heel and explore the possibilities. She can cope with the negative reaction in this way, too. Here is what she had to say;
Nikki Bella made her return to WWE recently
“In the beginning, I wanted to keep Fearless Nikki as Fearless Nikki because, to me, my comeback was more about nostalgia and ‘here is this Hall of Famer and legend, let’s keep her as is.’ That was my mindset. I’m a marketing machine, so I wanted to keep what was marketable and what people recognized me as.
"Now, being in it, I’m actually wanting to kind of change her a little bit. I think it would be a lot of fun. I do work with creative, every week, hands-on. I love being hands-on. Everyone there is hands-on. It’s actually very different than before. Even when we do promos, we used to get handed something, and it’s way different now. It’s really cool. You just sit and talk about it.

"They give you the basis of the idea, but everything is different the day of. It was never like this before and it’s really cool. I’m really excited to maybe push Fearless Nikki in a different direction. Deep down, I would love to go back heel, but it’s so much fun to have the challenge of being a babyface in this era that is a very different era. That’s been something. I’m excited to see what’s to come with it.”
After back to back defeats upon her return to WWE, it looks like the promotion is going to use Nikki Bella as a legend to promote younger talents. But it is quite unfortunate that she is not being able to get along with the fans like she used to. So turning her heel would be an excellent Idea at this stage. We have already witnessed what an amazing heel character she can portray.
