Nikki Bella made a sensational return to wrestling earlier this year as a participant in the women's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble event. Her performance was quite impressive in the Royal Rumble match as she survived until the final 4 and also eliminated Bayley from the match, who was the winner of last year's Royal Rumble match.
She did not return to full time action instantly after the Royal Rumble, but she waited until WrestleMania 41. After she started working full time, the first wrestler she encountered in a one on one match was Chelsea Green. She was quite impressive in her first one on one match upon return, and she also registered a victory in this match.

But things started to go down for Nikki Bella after her first win as she started a losing streak and lost back to back matches. It started after her defeat against Becky Lynch, and she kept on losing matches after match. A couple of weeks before, she started a new rivalry with Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's World Championship.

She attacked Stephanie Vaquer after a match, which cemented her heel turn, and they have started working on a feud for the World title. It can be expected that Nikki Bella puts over Vaquer in this feud as she is mostly working as a legend in this new run in WWE. A new video has been released by Entertainment Tonight, where Bella was seen saying the following;

“It’s hard. I mean, it’s always amazing and I’ve had my solo runs so, I think, especially when you’re an identical twin, you’re used to doing so many things together. It’s empowering when you have to do things on your own. But, I know that however long this run is — a year, two years — it will be my last and final, and you know, in our industry you never wanna say never but, I’m just being realistic.
"But, I started with her and I wanna end with her. I know everyone wants it and I think it would be really cool for the fans and as well for this new era, and especially when you turn me heel. I mean, I’m only super bad when I got sidekicks. It’s hard, and I hope I at least get to end it with her. I mean, two bad b**es are way better than one.” said the former two times WWE Divas Champion.
