Natalya has been a big part of WWE for the last eighteen years, and today, she is considered one of the biggest legends of the promotion. Her father, ‘The Anvil’ Jim Neidhart, was also a famous professional wrestler. He won multiple Tag Team titles in WWE, and he had also been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the class of 2019.
His daughter, Natalya Neidhart, has been active in the wrestling world for the last 25 years, and she has been under contract with WWE since 2007. She has won the World Championship in WWE only once, and she also won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship once. Despite not being a top star of the promotion, she is considered one of the most influential names in the women’s division of WWE.
Why Natalya's sisters did not become professional wrestlers
Natalya has two sisters, Jennifer Neidhart and Kristen Neidhart, who did not follow their father or sister to become professional wrestlers. But why did they keep themselves out of professional wrestling? Neidhart was recently asked this question when she was interviewed by CTV News. She answered the following;
“I was always the ham of the girls. My sister Jenny, she’s a culinary artist. My little sister Muffy, she is a teacher. I was always the one that just liked to be in the spotlight. I loved being athletic, but I also loved theatrics. I loved theater. I loved drama. I loved just being theatrical. So for me, there was always a little bit more of a calling to do this thing called wrestling.
Natalya has been active in WWE for the last 18 years
“But in our family, there was only men that had ever done it. My uncle’s, of course, you know, the most famous of being Bret the Hitman Hart, arguably, I think, and I’m biased, don’t get me wrong. I’m biased. I think he’s the greatest professional wrestler that’s ever lived. But my uncle’s Bret Hart, Owen Hart, who was iconic, and anybody that knew Owen knew that he was also athletic beyond words and such a special, special person.
She won multiple championships in WWE
“My other uncles, the British Bulldogs, my dad, Jim Neidhart, my grandfather, Stuart, all men that wrestled. So I was the first female in our family to do it and it wasn’t like it was an easy road because, of course, I didn’t really think it was something my grandfather wanted the girls doing. But, you know, when somebody tells you not to do something, what does it make you want to do?”
Natalya is presently doing an amazing job at the age of 43, but she is not a regular star in WWE anymore as he is only used to put over younger talents. She has also been allowed to work on the independent circuit from this year onwards, and she has already worked in a number of indie shows. She will always be remembered this one of the biggest legends of the women's division of WWE.
