Natalya is often considered a legend in WWE, and she has been active in the promotion for nearly two decades. She has never been promoted as a concrete main event star in WWE, but she won the WWE Women's championship one time after the second brand split, and she did a fairly decent job as the Women's champion of WWE.

But Natalya recently explained her thoughts that she may never have deserved the championships she won in WWE. Just a quick reminder that she also won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Tamina Snuka, too. Recently, she spoke on “The Joe Vulpis Podcast,” where she explained the following about what she thought about it;

Natalya does not think she ever deserved any championships

“The very first time I won a championship in WWE, I felt so insecure, I didn’t feel like I deserved it; I felt like all I could think about from the second I won it was that it wasn’t going to last. I was already thinking about when it was going to get taken off of me. And I was really looking at the championship as something like that defined me. Like, ‘Okay, I’ve got it now, and I’ll just be important for a few like weeks. But then they’re going to take it off me, and I just need to figure out how to rebuild after they take it off of me.’ I didn’t let myself enjoy that moment.

Natalya has been active in WWE for the last 18 years

“That was on me. It wasn’t on WWE, it wasn’t on my co-workers. It was just on me because I was so in my own head. By the time I won the Women’s Championship in 2017, my husband TJ said — because I said to him, ‘I can’t believe they’re going to put the title on me. This feels crazy. It doesn’t even feel real.’ And he’s like, ‘Why not you?’

She had been a former WWE Women's Champion

"He’s like, ‘Haven’t you done the work; haven’t you paid your dues? Haven’t you helped everyone, haven’t you done it? Why can’t you be the champion, Natty? You’re just as good as everyone else. Stop putting those limitations on yourself.’ So, that night that I won it, I was like, “You know what? I deserve this.”

Natalya is still active in WWE, and she is mostly treated as a legend in the promotion. Nowadays, she does not work on the main event level anymore, and she does not get regular screen time either. She is mostly used to put over younger talents, and she also plays a vital role in the locker room. Indeed, Natalya is a very respected name in WWE.
