Mick Foley did not have a very long professional wrestling career, but he became extremely famous among WWE fans in a short time. One of the biggest reasons behind his ultimate success in WWE was his Hardcore style of wrestling. Every time he entered the ring, the fans expected to see a Hardcore showcase. He never hesitated to put his body on the line.
Mick Foley could not continue working in the ring regularly after the year 2000, and the final rivalry he had was against Triple H. The rivalry started earlier that year, and the first match they had for the World title they had was at the Royal Rumble 2011, and it was a Street Fight. The match went on for nearly half an hour, and it had been an extremely brutal match.

Mick Foley remembers his Royal Rumble 2000 match against Triple H
It had been one of the final matches of Foley's full time career, and he kept on putting his body on the line. Mick Foley recently remembered this match and explained why it was really special. The Hardcore Legend recently spoke on the Insight podcast of Chris Van Vliet, where he discussed this match and explained its importance;
“The street fight with Triple H. So when two of my five favorites are on that list, maybe I should have done more that way. The only other one that was A to Z was when I got to Japan. I only worked two FMW shows. A lot of people think I worked FMW. I actually worked IWA, and I did two anniversary shows for FMW.
Mick Foley challenged Triple H for the WWE title again at the next WWE PPV, No Way Out
"So. It was Wing Kanemura, and he was a good worker, and he did a lot of crazy things, and he had like five notebook pages written out in English. And I’m a guy who likes to have a lot of say, because it’s not a matter of pride, it’s, I think I have something to offer. And then when I looked at this thing, I just, I like it. If you watch that match with Wing Kanemura, I had zero input in the creativity, but then it’s up to you as a performer to pull everything off.
"I asked my kids, ‘Hey, see if AI can just come up with a hardcore match.’ And a minute later, they’re telling me the, you know, the spots, the moves. I was like, it’s not a bad match, but it’s all dependent on how it’s carried out. And you see some guys who can do so much with so little, and you see other guys do so much, and it doesn’t mean anything.”

After WrestleMania 2000, Foley stopped working as a full timer

"He lost once again, but he got another opportunity to challenge for the title at WrestleMania 2000. Triple H defended the title in a fatal 4 way match, with The Rock and The Big Show also involved in it. Once again, Triple H defended the title successfully, and after this match, Mick Foley stopped working as a full time worker.
