Maxxine Dupri has been active in WWE since 2021, and despite being under contract for the last four years, she is one of the most criticized names in WWE right now. She started her professional wrestling career as a player-manager in NXT, WWE's developmental territory, where she was known as Sofia Cromwell.
She did not have to work in the NXT for long as she made her main roster in the same year. She adopted the ring name, Maxxine Dupri, after her roster debut. She was portrayed as the on-screen sister of LA Knight, and her name was inspired by his ring name back then, which was Max Dupri.
Maxxine Dupri discusses dealing with criticism
From 2023, she started working in the ring. She was not very impressive during her early career, but she kept receiving regular opportunities to work in the ring. She still works regularly in the ring. But she also has to go through a lot of criticism for her in ring work. Recently, she reflected on dealing with the criticism while speaking with Chris Can Vliet on the Insight Podcast. She said;

“I think I’m always criticizing myself more than anyone else is. I recognize all of it, I promise you. But I also think it’s so great to hear the praise and hear that people feel something with you, but at the same time, that can all change in the blink of an eye. At the end of the day, I’m playing a character, and I love that the character makes them feel something good or bad.
She is presently having a feud with Becky Lynch over the IC title
“If they feel something, then I’ve done my job. So I think the criticism I take is from people that I really admire and look up to and who I know are coming from a place of love and want to see me shine and grow. And I have lots of those people in my life that I get to go to, which is so cool. I just try not to fish for any of it online.”
Maxxine Dupri recently started a feud with Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, and she is doing a phenomenal job in this feud. She even picked up a count out victory over The Man. The feud is still not completed yet, and she will definitely challenge Becky Lynch for the title soon.
