Maven Huffman was active in WWE for a short time, and he has mostly been a forgotten name in the promotion. But that is, until recently, when he started his new YouTube channel, which has become extremely famous among the fans, and he is now an unknown figure to each and every wrestling fan.

Maven Huffman got a WWE contract after he won the Tough Enough competition of 2001. He was mostly treated as a lower mid card, and he was focusing on the now extinct WWE Hardcore Championship. The biggest impact of his career arrived at Royal Rumble 2002, where he shocked the entire world by eliminating The Undertaker.

Maven reveals how he was paid in WWE

He was a rookie back then, and nobody expected such an impact in this match. The fans expected him to have a high push after this incident, but no such thing happened, as he continuously worked as a lower mid card only. He remained active in the promotion until 2005, and finally, he was let go in the mentioned year, never to return to the promotion again.

Maven was active in WWE for around four years

In late 2004, he was given a short break when he featured on the Survivor Series team against Evolution. He even featured on the winning team. It finally felt like he would receive a mid card break, but soon, he returned to the jobber role. Recently, Maven remembered his time in WWE and revealed how he was paid. Speaking on his YouTube channel, he revealed the following;

He had been a three times WWE Hardcore champion

“During my time, we would indeed get paid per match. But there were several factors that would determine exactly how much. Factors such as your placement on the card, the venue, how many tickets were sold. And the type of match. Meaning if it was a hardcore match and I went a little bit above and beyond, I might notice a little bonus.”

“But it’s different these days. These guys are on guaranteed contracts, and they’re going to make the same money month in and month out no matter how many matches they wrestle. We were always incentivized to be not only at the show, but wrestle in the show. Because we know our paycheck depended on it.” said the former WWE star.
