Seth Rollins was being projected as one of the biggest faces of WWE in 2025, and he was having an amazing Run Since his huge win at WrestleMania 41, where he pinned Roman Reigns. He also formed a faction named The Vision, with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed being the members of it.
Things were going really smoothly for him; he won the Money in the Bank ladder match and cashed it in on CM Punk successfully at SummerSlam to win the World Heavyweight Championship. He even won the Crown Jewel Championship after defeating Cody Rhodes at the Crown Jewel event.

But unfortunately, he suffered a shoulder injury during that match, and because of that injury, he could not continue working in the ring. WWE gave it a storyline angle by showing that he got injured by an attack from his own teammates, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. It had been a huge loss since he was the biggest project for this season of WWE.

But when is he coming back to action? He recently spoke with Bert Kreischer on the “Something’s Burning” podcast, where he revealed the following on the recovery process, “Once I get [the sling] off, which is in like another month, then it might be full vacation mode for a little while, before I lock in and have to start training to get ready to come back.”
Chances are very low of a return before April
“It’ll probably be gradual. I don’t even really know. My guess is eight to 12 weeks of, ‘Okay, now I have to stop eating like an asshole.’ Probably 12 weeks. And then we’ll be moving right into WrestleMania season. I’m hoping around February, after all the holiday stuff, I can start to be like, ‘Lock in. No more BS.’”
Seth Rollins said the following about the potential date of his return, “Probably, after the Super Bowl and stuff. Give myself a month before I come back. I don’t even know. They say six months, so this could be April.” which makes it pretty clear that he will be unavailable for WrestleMania 42 and it is a terrible news for the fans.
