One of the latest stars that had been released from WWE is the former two times NXT Champion Karrion Kross, who was shown the door on August 10. His contract expired on the mentioned date, and WWE decided not to renew his contract and let him go along with his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux.
Before his release, Karrion Kross became extremely famous among the WWE universe, and the fans could not digest his departure at all. As a result, they kept on chanting his name during the weekly shows. Some fans were even convinced that this release was actually a work and that he would return in no time.

But ultimately, it was reported that this release is not a work, and he was legitimately released. So far, we have seen him working mostly with his wife, Scarlett, on his side. But recently, he explained that if any dressing promotion is interested in signing him, they can get him without his wife. Speaking on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast, he said;

“Not necessarily. Her and I, as long as the deal is fair and with respect and can be discussed with logic and rational communication, we’re open to working in and out of whatever is being offered. But like, if you come to me and you offer me something and you tell me that we’re going to exclude all of this information and you were to say to me that the revenue I’m generating for the company is not relevant to the conversation," he continued,

"well, some of my friends are dead or have broken their necks doing this, and I don’t want to be laid up somewhere in a hospital bed one day thinking about terms that I accepted when you told me that and I didn’t feel comfortable with it. So like, her and I are, you know, I guess just the direct answer would be not necessarily, no.”
Scarlett is only presented as the valet of Karrion Kross, but those who are familiar with her independent circuit days know that she is a professional wrestler too, and she is capable of providing good matches. But WWE never utilised her as a wrestler. Once again, we can expect to see her working in the ring upon her WWE release.
