Karrion Kross had been released from WWE last August despite being one of the most over stars of WWE of the time, and the promotion received a lot of backlash from the fans for releasing him. Some fans even thought this release was actually a work, but later it became clear that the sides were split in real life.

Karrion Kross was brought back by Triple H in 2022 after his first release from the promotion in 2021. It was no secret that Kross was a favorite, and everybody expected to see him become one of the top stars of WWE. It looked even clearer when he was greeted in the promotion with a mega rivalry with former World Champion Drew McIntyre, and he even picked up a victory over The Scottish Warrior.

But that did not happen; instead, he became a lower mid card in the upcoming days, and in his three year time in WWE, he did absolutely nothing. Ultimately, he was released from the promotion last August after his contract expired. Kross recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, where he explained what he learned from Paul Heyman. Here is what he has to say;

Karrion Kross was released from WWE in August

"Don't ever doubt yourself, don't doubt yourself. Be honest with yourself, but do not doubt yourself. Have the self-awareness to self-correct, course correct, improve. Don't wait for somebody to tell you what to do. If you know you're supposed to be doing something, do it. If you know you need to improve somewhere, don't wait for them to tell you, just do it."

"And trust your instincts. That would be like the first thing that comes to mind. He was always like, he's one of those guys if you're just spending time around him, AJ [Styles] and Miz were the same way too. I have to say if you just spend enough time around Paul, he's not even trying to teach you things. You'll learn things if you're listening. It's one thing to hear somebody, but if you're listening, he can't help it. You will learn just being around him."

Karrion Kross became quite over with the fans during the WrestleMania season, and the fans wanted to see him getting a healthy push. But it never looked like WWE had any big plans for him throughout his second tenure, and the promotion did not renew his contract after it expired in August. Presently, he is active on the independent circuit.
