The recent release of Karrion Kross had been one of the most shocking incidents in WWE history. Kross was quite over with the fans, and even after he got released, every week, fans in attendance kept on chanting "We Want Kross." Despite being one of the most famous names in recent times, WWE decided not to extend his contract.
Upon making his WWE return in 2022, Karrion Kross had a mega feud with Drew McIntyre. The duo had a total of three matches, and in one of their matches that took place at Extreme Rules 2022, Kross picked up a huge victory over the former World Champion. But he lost the rest of the two matches of this feud.

Nevertheless, a victory over Drew McIntyre over returning was a huge deal, and everybody expected him to be in a main event role. But ultimately, he turned to a jobber, and on August 10, he was released from the promotion after his contract ended. The fans were quite shocked after this decision, and a lot of fans wanted to have him back.

Drew McIntyre recently got interviewed by Adam's Apple, where he talked about the release of Karrion Kross. He said; "I know [Karrion] Kross well, very talented. Scarlett, and no matter what they do, they’re gonna land on their feet. I don’t have to give them advice. They know exactly what they’re doing.

"For everybody else, it’s just you’ve got to keep putting the work in. You’ve got to find what separates you from everybody else, as long as you’re working your a** off, and leaving no stone unturned, have been accountable to yourself, to the person in the mirror, don’t worry about social [media], but use social well. A lot of fans were not ready to believe that Karrion Kross was actually released from WWE and sometimes even thought it was nothing but a work. But ultimately, it was confirmed that it was a legitimate release, and recently, he has joined GCW, an independent wrestling promotion. Marr Cardona also had a lot of success after getting released from WWE in 2020 during the pandemic era. We hope Kross finds major success outside of WWE too.
