Karrion Kross was released from WWE back on August 10 as his contract expired, and the promotion decided not to renew his contract and keep him in the promotion. He spent 3 years in the promotion, but he could not do anything special in these 3 years, nor could he win any Championships.
He was brought back by Triple H in 2022 after remaining out of the promotion for a year. Previously, he was released from WWE in 2021, only to be brought back in 2022. He returned with an amazing feud with Drew McIntyre and even a shocking victory over the Scottish Psychopath. It certainly looks like he had a great future in the promotion.

But that was pretty much it for him as he struggled to get regular bookings in the promotion and ultimately, after 3 years, when his contract came to an end, the promotion decided to let him go, despite he became quite famous with the fans during his dying days in the promotion. The majority of the fans were extremely upset with his release.

Recently, he finally spoke about his WWE departure. Speaking with Cultaholic, he said, “My only concern is that when I meet fans, I don’t like to see them confused or upset. That’s the opposite of my job. (My job) is to make them have a good time and forget abot all this stuff.

"Addressing it all is kind of impossible. Sometimes, I want to hang back because I think there is a way that it can be recovered and potentially turned into a story, but when enough time goes by and it’s not happening, I was like, ‘I want people to feel good about things.’ I did my best to address everything the best way that I could.“
Karrion Kross became quite over with the fans during the WrestleMania season, and the fans were totally behind his back when he got released. After his release, the fans kept on chanting "We Want Kross" during the weekly shows of SmackDown and RAW. Some fans even thought that this release was just a work, but ultimately it was confirmed that it is a legitimate release, and he has started working on the independent circuit.
