Karrion Kross had his final feud in WWE before leaving the promotion against Sami Zayn. His contract expires by the end of this week, and WWE has not renewed his contract either. He was just gaining some popularity among the fans, but WWE did not think it was anything useful.
Since his return to the promotion back in 2022, he has not received anything special in WWE apart from a feud with Drew McIntyre and, recently, with Sami Zayn. After 3 years, he is now leaving WWE once again, and we can expect him to see him going back to the independent circuit once again.
Karrion Kross is really happy to get to work at SummerSlam
As already mentioned, he had his final match and feud against Sami Zayn. His last match took place at the SummerSlam event from last weekend, where he was defeated by the Canadian professional wrestler. Kross recently spoke on “The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling” podcast, where he talked about how honoured he feels about working at SummerSlam. He said;

“I’ve always loved SummerSlam when I was little. SummerSlam had a different vibe than the rest of the pay-per-views and to be a performer on that show, I think, is really cool. The novelty of being able to know I was able to do that is cool.” said the former two times NXT Champion.
Kross' WWE contract expires at the end of this weekend
He continued, “I would have liked to have done things a little bit — how should I say? I thought that there was gonna be something a lot more hyperviolent that we’re gonna be able to get into, with me and Sami (Zayn). Nevertheless, I was thrilled to be there and to perform. I was really hoping that I was gonna be able to get very FMW about it with Sami, for those who know the reference.”
A large number of fans believed that WWE should have kept Karrion Kross after the recent support he earned from the fans. But the present WWE roster is so stacked at this moment, it is really difficult to survive in the promotion for a long time. We hope Kross gets to return to WWE in the future, and he does better this time.
