Karrion Kross and his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux, had been released from WWE on August 10 after their contract expired. They returned to WWE back in 2022 and signed a three year contract with the promotion. Previously, he worked in the NXT, which is the developmental territory of WWE, and after a successful run in the NXT, he was promoted to the main roster in 2021.
But soon after his main roster debut in 2021, he was released from the promotion. After Triple H took charge of the creative team of WWE in 2022, he brought him back. But surprisingly, he only received a lower mid card run despite being one of the favorites of Triple H. He had a great start upon returning, as he had a feud with Drew McIntyre, but that was pretty much it for him.
Karrion Kross talked about joining GCW
His contract ended in 2025 and WWE decided not to extend his contract despite becoming quite over with the fans lately. After getting released from WWE, he joined GCW which is an independent wrestling promotion. Karrion Kross recently appeared on GCW Homecoming, where he attended an interview and talked about joining the new promotion;

“We just did GCW by surprise. I always like doing GCW because you can get very unhinged there. It’s the crowd that likes it to be as absolutely wild and crazy as possible. Even getting so crazy and violent that it’s almost silly. I think that’s fun. There are different genres of pro wrestling. I always thought of pro wrestling as a variety act. If it’s the same thing every match and every show, there is nothing special about it.”
Kross remained active in the promotion for the last three years
He also talked about his upcoming movie on Twitter, “Our film Blue Evening will finally be available to watch in theater outside the film festival tour for our Oscars Qualifying Run. The Texas Theater in Dallas Fort Worth will be screening it through Sept 5th-11th! Various screening times of course will be through the week! Karrion Kross became quite over with the WWE fans during the WrestleMania 41 season, and fans were expecting to see him getting a bigger push. He even had an excellent rivalry with Sami Zayn, which ended a being his final feud in WWE. We seriously hope he becomes extremely successful on the independent circuit and one day he returns to WWE to get the push that remained incomplete.
