Karrion Kross' second WWE run will only be remembered as a failed run if we keep our eyes on whatever he did in these three years. His return was quite well booked as he started a feud with Drew McIntyre upon returning. He even registered a victory over the Scottish Warrior during this feud.

But after this feud, everything went downhill for Karrion Kross. Triple H, WWE started to treat him like a lower mid card. He was the events struggling to get regular bookings in the promotion. Even when we got some bookings, he was nothing more than a lower mid card. This is definitely not what the fans expected to see from him.

Finally, during the WrestleMania season this year, Kross started to gain some popularity among WWE fans. Things were finally looking better for the 40 year old professional wrestler. His recent feud with Sami Zayn became quite popular among the WWE fans and even had a great victory over the former three times WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Karrion Kross returned to WWE in 2022

But even after getting a little over with the fans, WWE officials decided not to renew his contract, and they allowed him to leave the promotion. Finally, he is contract expired by the end of last week. Kross recently received praise from Paul Heyman, to which Kross expressed his happiness. Speaking on “The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling” podcast, he explained the following;

“Oh yeah, I was very, very, very flattered. Super flattered (by what Paul Heyman said about me). Definitely. I was at a loss of words when I saw that. You have lots of conversations privately with people in the company, that you might not have publicly, and people passing out compliments and stuff like that about each other is a rare thing and to get one from Paul publicly, he’s always been very good to me for many, many years and I’ve always been a fan of his, long before WWE.”

Karrion Kross previously had a run in WWE, which mostly stretched in the NXT, where he was quite successful as he had been a two times NXT Champion. But WWE released him from the promotion in 2021 only to be back by 2022. We can definitely expect him to return to WWE in the future and get a better treatment in his next possible run with the promotion.
