Lana discussed the influence of John Cena on her wrestling career

No wrestler in the history of professional wrestling could win more world titles than John Cena. He won his record breaking 17th World Championship earlier this year after he defeated Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. He is presently conducting his retirement tour, and after his last match at Saturday Night's Main Event, he will retire from in ring action.

John Cena has an influence on the careers of many professional wrestlers, including WWE legend Lana, who is also known as CJ Perry. Lana is presently on a legends contract with WWE, and recently she explained the influence of John Cena in her professional wrestling career. Speaking on the Insight Podcast recently, she explained the following;

John Cena will wrestle his retirement match at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13

“Working with John Cena, I’m forever thankful for. I learned so much and I think it really carried into my in-ring wrestling because I knew sound. So like John Cena is another person calling all the spots, right? I’ll never forget when the ‘We want Lana’ thing started, and it started at live events. John would always give us, always say, ‘You have to take calculated risk.’ And then he’s like, ‘Then if it doesn’t go as planned, you have to take ownership and say, ‘Sorry, that was my bad. Going to do something different next time.'”

Lana recently signed a WWE Legend's contract

She also explained how shop she was after getting the WWE legends contract, “I’m still processing it. It’s funny, because I would say it’s been kind of controversial. One of the biggest things that I had on my podcast last week was announcing that I’m a WWE legend, and you thought I stole their Christmas presents or something. People were so mad. People were like, It’s a stretch, and they’re fighting, and then other fans are coming in and defending me. So I just want to acknowledge I understand, I was that shocked too.

"I absolutely understand that there’s a huge difference between the character Lana and Randy Savage on the legend scale. I get it, but this is what WWE calls their contracts: being a full WWE superstar. My agent called me. I was crying. I was shocked. Yeah, they gave Miro a contract, and they gave me the WWE legend contract at the same time.” said Lana.
