John Cena started his retirement tour from the Netflix RAW premiere that took place in January this year, as he has already promised that he will retire from in ring action by the end of this year. He made this announcement at the Money in the Bank event of 2024, and according to his promise, he is presently going on his retirement tour.

So far, Cena has done a lot of things throughout this retirement tour as he created history by winning his 17th World Championship, which is more than anyone in WWE. He defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 to win the title. He also had his first ever heel run in over two decades in WWE. Overall, it was a hell of a run so far.

Cena started his retirement tour at the Netflix RAW premiere

“Cena’s been doing some really good work. I mean, that’s where watching him and Sami Zayn definitely — man, it made me just have goosebumps. Because I’m watching John Cena from a different perspective than most, just because I had a huge part and trying to get John Cena ready for the main stage.

Cena will retire from in ring action by December of this year

"And then when I watch him do certain things, I go, ‘Man, like we’ve done that before, that kind of stuff. I mean, so the work that he’s been doing lately, man, has been definitely the way you want to go out of this business. Big ups to John Cena” said two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, discussing the retirement tour of Cena.

Cena really had a great time until the latest WWE premium live event, Wrestlepalooza, where he had a shocking match with Brock Lesnar, who completely manhandled him and squashed him. So far, it is really difficult to understand why WWE booked such a strange match and who is going to benefit from such a booking. Reports suggest that Cena still has 5 appearances remaining.
