John Cena is presently on his retirement tour, which has been quite praiseworthy so far. He had matches with some of his biggest opponents of all time, like Randy Orton and CM Punk, who are considered his biggest rivals ever. Some fans have also started to demand a potential match with Edge since he was another big rival of Cena.

But since Edge is presently active in AEW, this match does not look possible anymore, especially with the time remaining in this ongoing retirement tour. Another name that has been spoken of by the WWE Universe to be a part of the retirement tour is The Rock, who had also been a huge rival of John Cena.

The Rock John Cena

Rikishi wants to see The Rock be a part of the retirement tour of John Cena

The duo only had two matches together, but the build up had been so good that both of them are considered big rivals of each other. WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi recently talked about this dream match and explained why it should be booked. Speaking on his “Off The Top” podcast, he said the following;

The Rock is considered one of the biggest rivals of Cena's professional wrestling career

“I kind of see, if I’m gonna pick somebody I’m going out with, yeah, like this is it for Keeshe. Never have I ever coming back. Man, I would have to go after some of the GOATs. Now, the one thing that people probably never seen and would love to see—they’ve seen it back in the day—but I think at this point, I think The Final Boss vs. John Cena.”

“Now that right there, you know what I’m saying—I can go to sleep then. Right. Whether it was a stinkaroo or whatever. At the end of the day, they’re gonna say, ‘Well, John Cena’s last match was against The Rock.’ When you say The Rock, oh, there it is.”

John Cena The Rock

Cena and The Rock only had two matches together

“But if John Cena had his last match with Edge, does it carry a lot more weight? You see what I’m saying? That’s just me, not knocking Edge. Hey, Edge is a wonderful guy. He’s been family for a minute. But you know, I’m just putting my business out there.”

The Rock and Cena wrestled together for the first time at WrestleMania 28, where The Rock defeated Cena. WWE kept on promoting this match for one long year; this is the only match in WWE history to get such a long booking process. After 1 year, WWE booked this match once again at WrestleMania 29, and this time Cena got his revenge.
