The whole world is still rattled after the retirement of John Cena, and mostly because of the way his retirement match ended. On December 13, at Saturday Night's Main Event, he had his farewell match against Gunther, who had the right to challenge him in his last ever match by winning a 16 man tournament.
John Cena had been pretty impressive in his farewell match, but at the end, he shocked the entire world by tapping out to Gunther's Sleeper Hold. It was the first time he tapped out in 21 long years. The whole world of professional wrestling had been in utter shock, and everyone was left in tears.
Jackie Redmond expressed her feelings on John Cena tapping out
A large number of fans and wrestling figures believe that John Cena should not have tapped out in his retirement match, as they felt it had been a disrespect towards the 17 times WWE World Champion. WWE announcer Jackie Redmond is also rattled about the fact that Cena tapped out in his final match. She discussed it on the “RAW Recap” podcast, where she said the following;

“It felt sad. Honestly, it felt sad to me. And I’ll say this too. I don’t like that John Cena tapped. Like, I don’t like that. I don’t like it. I understand it. I understand it, but I don’t like it. John, you’re never give up! You’re hustle, loyalty, and respect! This isn’t you! I know there’s more there. And I know, you could see him, you could see him mouthing afterwards, ‘I don’t have anything left. That’s it,’ which I get it.

"That’s why you’re retiring, but I know there’s more there. I know! I know! You could’ve hung on just a little longer! Pass out! Make GUNTHER make you pass out! Like, you know what I mean? That is how I truly felt. In that moment, I was like, ‘No, I don’t want you to tap! You’re John Cena!’ Because I knew what the reaction would be to that to a lot of people.” said Jackie Redmond.
After making John Cena tap out in his final match, Gunther became the most hated name in the world of professional wrestling right now, and everybody has started hating him. He is receiving A terrible reaction from the fans every time he appears. He was even booed by the fans when he appeared on RAW last Monday. He can now be pushed as the biggest heel in WWE.
