Baron Corbin wants to participate in John Cena's farewell tournament
One of the former WWE stars, Baron Corbin, recently expressed his desire to compete in this ongoing tournament, so that he can be the final opponent of John Cena. Recently, he appeared on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, where he revealed his desire. Here is what he has to say about it;
John Cena will wrestle his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13
“I had a little, like, spark in my heart, going man, how cool would it be if I was the guy who didn’t work there right now who was in the tournament? Just the opportunity to go into it. And, John and I have a ton of history, you know. From him costing me the Money in the Bank briefcase to our match at SummerSlam. We’ve wrestled a billion times and promos against each other, there’s already history.”

Baron Corbin is presently active on the Independent Circuit
Baron Corbin was released from WWE last year, and presently, he is active on the independent circuit. He is using the ring name Bishop Dyer in the indies, and he is doing a pretty good job at the age of 41. He seriously got the opportunity to face John Cena multiple times; he even challenged him at SummerSlam 2017. But nothing is bigger than facing him in his retirement match.
However, it is nearly impossible for Baron Corbin to feature in the Last Time is Now Battle Royal. WWE does not allow wrestlers from the independent circuit to compete in their promotion as long as they are not signed with them. Corbin is presently 41, and we can expect him to return to WWE in the future, but it is highly doubtful he would ever be promoted as a main eventer in WWE, even if he returns.
