2025 has been a strange year for WWE, and one of the biggest mysteries of the year has been the random appearances of Travis Scott. Nobody knows the point of these appearances and why WWE suddenly started promoting a random rapper in the wrestling ring who had absolutely no connection with professional wrestling.
Travis Scott first appeared in WWE during the Netflix RAW Premiere, and nobody minded it, since he was just accompanying Jey Uso to the ring. But his second appearance was quite strange as he started attacking Cody Rhodes with John Cena and The Rock. Nobody understood why he was in the ring.

At the main event of WrestleMania 41, where Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against John Cena, everybody expected to see a special appearance much like last year. But that special appearance occurred from Travis Scott, who helped Cena to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. And this is the reason it is considered one of the worst WrestleMania main events ever.

Finally, it was reported that he is not a part of WWE anymore. The promotion never clarified the reason behind these random appearances. Presently, it is considered one of the worst bookings of 2025. John Cena finally opened up about these strange appearances of Scott while speaking with Cody Rhodes on his “What Do You Wanna’ Talk About?” podcast. He said;
“It’s also okay for us to say we want a lot of eyes and we want to create a moment, because you never know. You can’t tell if someone’s going to run with it, but you have to give them a chance. We’ve always had opportunities to mesh worlds, going all the way back to Cyndi Lauper and Liberace at WrestleMania I. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t.”
He even helped John Cena to win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41
“What I love about the past year is that so many people have been critical of so many moments and blame it on this fictional ‘book’ or creative direction. Like, ‘They didn’t have any long-term booking for this?’ Maybe they did. That s*** changed.”
“If the criticism is about the moment of the heel turn, great. You were in the ring, it was fantastic. You lost an ear for us. Appreciate it.” he said, “I’ve got to get back on the field. I can’t waste my time. I can’t invest my time in something that’s never going to come to fruition.” said the 17 times WWE World Champion.
