John Cena is closing in on his final match in WWE, and it is quite unfortunate that he will not be working in the ring after 2025 anymore. He moved to Hollywood in the last decade, and he is now a household name in the American film industry. He can't manage both wrestling and working in the film industry at the same time; one just has to go.

So, he decided to say goodbye to the professional wrestling world, and throughout 2025, he went through his retirement tour. He will be out of the wrestling world forever after he works in his final match at the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13. WWE is presently organising a 16 man tournament to determine its final opponent.

John Cena is the modern day Hulk Hogan, claims MVP

Throughout his illustrious professional wrestling career, John Cena has achieved it all, and he is often considered the biggest name in the wrestling world of the 2000s. His former colleague and former WWE United States Champion, MVP, recently compared him with Hulk Hogan while speaking with Adventure Games. Here is what he had to say;

John Cena will wrestle his retirement match on December 13

“I have immense respect for Cena because his work ethic is second to none. When you say getting to know the man. Honestly, I never knew Cena out of work, out of the work environment. So I feel like I never got to know the private John Cena. He’s always on; he’s always doing something. And this is praise; I’ve never met somebody who is so fully dedicated to the company to work. We could be up all night before drinking with the boys. And we used to knock out cases of beer and, I’m not exaggerating, bottles of whiskey.”

“And man, he’d be up at 6:00 AM to do that media. You wouldn’t think that he had been going hard the night before. His work ethic—man, that guy was always working nonstop. So my opinion of him professionally is that he is definitely in the pantheon of all-time greats. I feel like he was the Hulk Hogan of this generation, if not greater.

His final opponent is yet to be determined

"He holds a Guinness Book of World Records for Make-A-Wish with wishes granted for sick children. I mean, he always seemed like a cool guy. He always treated me great; he was always cool with me, and he was a leader, a good dude. So he kept his inner circle very small [and was] cool with everybody. But people that he would call friends or family, I think he was very wise about how he conducted his business.”

The only thing that John Cena could not achieve in his professional wrestling career so far was the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which also prevented him from becoming a Grand Slam champion in the promotion. Finally, he achieved it after he defeated Dominik Mysterio on RAW last Monday. After this win, nothing remained unachieved in the illustrious career of John Cena.
