Every wrestler who has worked with him, always shared massive praise for him for being an amazing person in real life. Matt Riddle claims John Cena was not very friendly with him when he met him for the first time

But former WWE star and WWE United States Champion Matt Riddle recently made a controversial claim that John Cena was never very nice to him backstage. He even shared his experience meeting him for the first time during his NXT days. Speaking on "TMZ's Inside The Ring" recently, the former WWE Tag Team Champion said the following;

"The first time I ever met John Cena, he critiqued – I was on, like, a five on five tag match at Madison Square Garden when I was still in NXT – and he was backstage and he gives us all critiques and he tells me I say 'bro' too much." Said the former WWE United States Champion.

He continued, "He then went on to describe himself as the 'King of Bros' and claims that later on he had a conversation with Cena where he explained the character to him. "And he goes: 'I don't understand.' And me and him basically got, like by 20 minutes in, we were like – I was yelling, like, we were yelling back and forth!"

Despite making such a claim, Matt Riddle also said that he always had a lot of respect for John Cena, and he still does. Cena is edging towards his retirement, and he has already started to be addressed as the Greatest of All Time. He will always be remembered as one of the most influential names in the history of professional wrestling.
