The matches of this tournament are taking place on the episodes of SmackDown and RAW. Six of the eight matches of the first round have already taken place. The last two matches are scheduled to take place on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

There had been two surprise appearances in this tournament, as Zack Ryder and Dolph Ziggler participated in different matches, but they could not win their respective matches. Dolph Ziggler also took part in this tournament

“Yes. I — you know, hey. People are coming outta the woodwork for the tournaments. I was very, very glad to see Zack Ryder come back. Matt is a personal friend of mine. I can speak candidly like that. And I’ve seen his mind grow. You wanna talk about always being curious in a quest for growth.

"The Zack Ryder I knew from a long time ago has accrued so much sports entertainment wisdom. It’s amazing, when we have interactions, he’ll tell me about his journey and be like, ‘This is what you were trying to talk about before. I wasn’t ready to understand it.’
