Fans were expecting either John Cena or CM Punk to win the men's Royal Rumble match, but Jey Uso's victory completely blew everyone's mind. He also went on to challenge Gunther at WrestleMania 41 for the World Heavyweight Championship. He even became champion at the mentioned event.

Jey Uso rose to the main events earlier this year
Jey Uso recently talked about his jump to the main event and how difficult it is to remain in the main event status for everyone in WWE. Jey defeated Gunther to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41
“It’s easy to get to the top, but it’s hard to stay there. I got a little comfortable, Uce. I’m not gonna lie. I wasn’t feeling myself, started letting the gas off. I wasn’t hungry. Somebody had to tell me that. And when I watched that, running it back, I was like, let me get back to the drawing board. Let’s tighten the scre*s up. Let’s get it right. I had no idea they would show that. I’m glad they showed it. Not everything is perfect. Sometimes you gotta get up and go to work.”
When it was looking like Jey's main event run might have come to an end, he had a great Tag Team match at SummerSlam, and he was also the man to pin Bronson Reed to earn the victory for his side. It was really a hard fought victory, and it looks like his main event run is still not over yet. We may get to see him as a World Champion once again soon.
