Jade Cargill recently won the WWE Women's Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event by defeating the previous champion Tiffany Stratton. She has been under contract in WWE for the last couple of years, and she made her in ring WWE debut in the women's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble event last year.
This had been her first Championship win in the promotion, and the fans saw it coming already, as she had always been promoted as one of the top stars of the promotion. She always featured on the main event segments, and she also won the Queen of the Ring tournament of 2025. But it took her nearly 2 years to win the WWE Women's Championship.

Jade Cargill reflects on representing black women in WWE
Jade Cargill recently expressed her happiness at winning her first major Championship in WWE and she also talked about representing black women in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. She appeared on “The Rob Brown Show” where he discussed the following about winning the title;
“As a black woman in wrestling, I mean I feel like you could say I’m a minority within it. And the fact that Naomi and I had a non-title match that at WrestleMania. The first with no stipulation, no anything, I think that was the first.

"And that was a great accomplishment that I put in my books, and I was really happy that we both put [it] into our books. And we were very happy with that. Add that… [being] out there and represent all — not just little black girls, but brown, black, white. Just go out there and be a girl, go out there and show out and to embrace women’s wrestling.”
“And to be part of the second [WWE] Evolution in Atlanta, Georgia this past year was huge for me. And you know, we didn’t have story lines for that show. But we went out there, and we all collectively looked at each other and said, ‘Hey, we’re going to go out there. We’re going to take up names and going to kick some butt, and we’re going to prove everybody wrong.’

"Because everyone thought that show was gonna be kind of a sideshow, there’s no story lines built up, But we, all the women, we got together and we did the best we could. And I believe that’s one of the biggest or the best PLEs that we’ve had this year.” said the present WWE Women's Champion.
Jade Cargill may be one of the top stars of WWE right now, but she is also one of the most criticized names in the promotion. She has to go through a lot of criticism for her questionable in ring work, for example, she was criticized for her performance in a recent triple threat Women's Championship match on SmackDown. But she is definitely improving and expect her to become one of the best in ring workers soon.
